Just trust me on this: stop whatever you’re doing right now and reach out to John. He helped my family buy a home and sell a home, and we feel lucky to have found him. He’s a wonderful human being, he’s deeply knowledgeable about real estate in the North Shore, he’s extremely responsive, he doesn’t exaggerate the pros or cons of homes on the market, and he has a good eye for what’s a good deal and what’s not. It’s frustrating when an agent looks at an obviously crappy room and launches into a fake speech about its merits — but John will look at a room and (when asked) give an impressively objective perspective on it. And he even provides quarterly data-based updates about price trends in various North Shore communities, which is very helpful (and super interesting). Here’s another way to describe him: you know how everyone wants a car mechanic who can be trusted to provide all the right information and make all the right decisions? John is the real estate equivalent of that. I don’t quite know how to convey in a compelling way that you should just hire John (after all, this is an anonymous post and you don’t know me), but pretend this paragraph is an email from a good friend, and you’ll be all set.
